Artist Elizabeth Catlett Art Book
The book is just beautiful and it feels beautiful as well with its cloth like cover page. It’s an exquisite must have reflection of Catlett’s sculptures and artwork. The photography in this book does her work justice. It’s a recent compilation of her work by published by Walther Kong (Cologne, Germany) with editorial oversight by the Museum for Modern Art (MMK). The book was released in 2025 and is brand new. I discovered this while perusing the Tokoyo de Palais Museum bookstore in Paris. It was such a stunning book that I hadn’t seen in the US when I saw Catlett’s exhibit earlier in 2025 at the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC. This find is an example of how travel brings you finds that you wouldn’t necessarily know is out there without being physically present to discover it.
In addition to this book, you will receive an 8×8 print of artist Janet Asante-Sullivan’s Solitude series (valued at $50). You get to pick which one.
